I have talked to my local Safe House in an effort to reach out in starting a new campaign for victims of domestic violence that are staying at Safe House. Beauty for the Broken will provide something more than just basically needs, it will provide that extra little something that makes them feel valued.
Why do we love Bath and Body Works? Well, the answer is on the back of the Orange Ginger label I realized the other day -- "Luxury." My channel and thus blog has provided an outlet for me to share something that I've enjoyed as a self care luxury during my own times of need and battling some of the same things Safe House victims experience.
I'm still discussing with them how this campaign will work, but I would like to take donations of new and unused Soap, Shampoo, and Lotion only. For those that don't wish to donate the actual items, I'm going to see about setting up a fund so items can be purchased under sale, preferably at the next Semi Annual Sale when they can be maximized.
