Welcome

I recently started Vlogging Bath and Bodyworks and White Barn reviews and hauls on my Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/skatardrummer1

I might kinda sorta have a small addiction to Bath and Body works. Why am I the Bath and Body works Culturista? I know way way too much about it. I'm not really the guru necessarily of all their lines and collections, but I know a fair bit about the company's marketing and operations just by observation. Some of this knowledge is advantageous to the consumer, some of it not so much because I know what they're doing to me with all these emails and sales and I let them!

Bath and Body Works and White Barn are exceptionally customer oriented.

Exhibit A:

I called Bath and Body Works before the Black Friday 2014 sale very sad because the White Barn cardboard coupon I had got wet and turned into a pulp. I asked them for a new one and they didn't have one, so they mailed me a $25 gift card. Uhm, yea, of course I'll go to your store! You just totally gave me free money! Of course then in the meantime, they send sales and coupons to my email every day. You know I spent more than $25 on Black Friday.

The next is these Semi Annual Sales. They get rid of all their backlogged stock for the whole year 50-75% off. If they're selling stuff that cheap, how much do you think they're making off of transactions? Coupons? Of course they exist to let us believe we are getting a deal.

Probably Bath and Body Work's most iconic thing in Customer Service is being able to return a product with or without a receipt. Even if it's used. The receipt may vary by store on used items. Who does that? I broke a candle in the store once that slipped out of my hands. I felt so bad, and the staff was all worried that I cut myself. I'm not entirely certain many places hold to the "you break it you buy it" anymore, but usually they aren't that nice about it.

Finally, the marketing. Oh the marketing. Bath and Body Works has the most INGENIOUS marketing strategy of all time. They send out emails daily and mail out coupons only to their current customers pretty much. They don't have to advertise on billboards, TV, radio, or magazines, yet they make an ungodly amount of money. Why? Their good customer service and their psychological games with sales. They turn their customers into collectors, then into reviewers, and then all the reviewers become their advertising. Seriously, HUNDREDS of YouTube videos and channels dedicated to Bath and Body Works.

I know that they do this, but I love their products just the same. I love candles and the quality of the candles they have achieved is next to none. Many companies use parafin wax, a few use soy. Bath and Body works uses a vegetable wax combination and super high quality fragrance oils that give them a throw without par.

I hope to provide some good reviews and news for you guys. I have a White Barn and they put out test scents periodically, so hopefully I'll have some interesting things to share!

As a side note, if you want to save my link as a mental note, it's bwculturisa.blogspot.com, not BBW. Even though it might make sense, people might get the wrong impression ;)

Happy Hunting!
